Our HR function plays a pivotal role in achieving UKRI’s vision. Following a comprehensive review and in full consultation with all key stakeholders, we are implementing a new HR Target Operating Model to transform the way we work, with a focus on strengthening our strategic business partnering capability, modernizing HR operational services and building up our expertise in areas such as careers and talent management, EDI, and leadership development.

We are seeking to recruit a Learning Lead, who maintain the delivery of our current training curriculum as well as developing approaches and strategies for future. The role will lead on the design and delivery of specific new projects and initiatives once agreed and funded, either personally or through bringing in suppliers, to design and deliver specific interventions, to build organization capacity.

The position

In this role, you will lead learning and development projects across UKRI and its Councils to enable leaders and managers to develop and empower talented people and promote a diverse and inclusive organisation. As the lead expert, you wi ll design and deliver new learning and development frameworks and approaches to build capability within UKRI.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • University degree in HR or Organisation Development or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Coaching certification
  • Experience in a specialist learning role at a senior manager/consultant level within a complex company
  • OD diagnostic experience/qualified practitioner
  • Ability to influence, engaging and supportive communication style
  • Internal consultancy experience.
