If you’re looking for excitement and a job where your decisions and suggestions can make a real difference, then come and join the busy Partnerships and Placements office in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as we are recruiting a full time, permanent team member.

As part of our new hybrid working pattern you will be working at our Harcourt Hill campus and from home for part of the week.

We need a proactive team player with outstanding administrative skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills as a significant part of this role involves (confidential) contact with staff, students and placement providers.

If you have top class planning skills, a true eye for detail and are capable of working on several projects at once and to strict deadlines, then we want to hear from you.

You will be involved in:

  • Producing and maintaining timely placement planning and support, using your own initiative
  • Planning and maintaining accurate placement information on complex spreadsheets
  • Maintaining and nurturing the department's close contact with placement providers
  • Ensuring the continued success of the team through the development and adoption of new ideas and procedures.

You should have:

  • A-levels or equivalent experience
  • The ability to prioritise own workloads to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Substantial and proven administrative experience as well as excellent customer-facing skills
  • High level of IT proficiency
  • Good interpersonal skills with a strong and confident telephone manner.
