An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, collaborative and motivated individual to join the Research Development team at the University of Roehampton as a Research Impact & Knowledge Exchange Officer, to provide maternity cover on a temporary, full-time basis.
You will have specific responsibility for developing impact and knowledge exchange initiatives within a sector or research area, and will work closely with colleagues in that area to develop opportunities for collaboration. Partnership-building in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, as well as the ability to negotiate and influence both internally and externally, are crucial to this role.
You will play a key role in maximising pathways to impact and knowledge exchange opportunities, and collaborate with other members of the Research Development team and academic community to ensure funding bids have high quality pathways to impact built in. The role also supports the development of high-profile knowledge exchange initiatives by actively seeking out and developing opportunities for commercial exploitation, partnership, and public engagement.
Proven successful experience in support impact and knowledge exchange activities and projects is essential for this role, as well as knowledge of funding opportunities for impact and knowledge exchange, both nationally and internationally, accessible for Higher Education. Ideally, you will be experienced in negotiating and facilitating collaborative ventures and working with different types of organisations.
The University has a beautiful, vibrant parkland campus, is located in the heart of south-west London and offers excellent facilities for researching, learning, teaching and working. We are proud of our achievements as a Post 1992 University and continue to build upon them.
