About the role:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Business Development, the Commercial Support Manager will provide support to ensure the successful delivery of the Operations Plan utilising resources effectively and efficiently whilst actively promoting the values and culture of the organisation.  

Specifically, the Commercial Support Manager will establish and administer the commercial policies and enabling processes for Advance HE and their successful execution across the agency.

The role will involve extensive matrix working - this will require close interaction and collaboration with senior staff across Advance HE.

This is a key role with a varied and wide reaching remit.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Leading the deployment and setting the priorities for the commercial support team including: commercial administration for both UK and International, and membership administration and renewal support.
  • Establishing, reviewing and managing the effective implementation of Advance HE’s commercial policies (including costing and pricing) and enabling processes in support of the wider operational plan and agency growth strategy.
  • Lead, support and manage the Commercial Support Executives and Coordinators.

Our ideal candidate will have experience and skills in the following:

  • Experience of managing or experience demonstrating the aptitude of implementing change management projects including culture change.
  • Experience of sales planning and reporting cycles.
  • Considerable sales experience, including account management, customer service and telephone sales.
  • Experience of managing a team or demonstrable experience of having the aptitude to manage a team

What we offer:

This is a permanent, full time role.

The salary is £38,604.20 per annum.

Full time hours are 35 hours per week. 

This role is based from our York office, however have introduced a hybrid model of working and so there will be a mix of working from the office for part of the week and working from home for the remainder.
