Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Lecturer in Urban Environments to join the Wellington School of Architecture. The position calls for a strong design portfolio with a focus on urban planning as it relates to designed environments. You will also bring a reputation and profile as an accomplished researcher or professional with the capability to contribute to the development of the new Masters of Urban and Regional Planning.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
You are passionate about teaching a diverse range of students and appreciate the importance of Ako (reciprocal teaching and learning) to this environment. You will be familiar with contemporary discourse and demands in the field of Urban and Regional Planning, with expertise in land and water management, environmental protection, the Planning Regulatory framework, te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and biodiversity. You will engage with allied majors, in particular Building Science, Interior Architecture and Landscape Architecture, and be encouraged to share and scaffold knowledge across the other relevant majors in the School of Architecture.
