Background
The Representation & Democracy Team are our experts on student feedback, influence, campaigns, and change. This post leads on facilitating and analysing real-time student feedback through student voice tools and engagement activities with students to improve the student experience at City. Alongside working with students, the role will work closely with City colleagues to ensure student insight is at the heart of the work the university progress day-to-day and in their longer term strategic projects.
The Student Voice Coordinator will join our Representation & Democracy Team to help us build a better students’ union, one that students rely on and are proud to be a part of. This new post is designed to lead our work on improving the student experience at City by organising and analysing student feedback through the use of real-time student voice tools, student engagement activities and more.
Responsibilities
In this role you will become our in-house expert on the student experience by regularly collecting, organising and writing up student feedback gathered on the academic and wider learning experiences of our students. Alongside working with our Union team you will work with City to ensure student insight is at the heart of the work the university progress day-to-day and in their longer term strategic projects.
In addition to this, you will contribute to supporting our networks of volunteers, working to support the development of policy (or as we call them, Union Priorities), delivering events to support students’ academic lives and to keep a lively community of elected students motivated.

The successful candidate will adopt a collaborative approach, show professionalism that will ensure the Union’s representation and democracy work is coordinated to the highest possible standard, while bringing creative ideas, innovation and dedication to make things happen and keep them improving.
