The College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences aims to maximise its knowledge in fields such as Sports, Health and Exercise, Biological Sciences and Occupational Therapy to make the University a key contributor to the UK’s teaching and research agenda for health and health-related studies
The main responsibilities for the post holder include providing advice and guidance to students on matters of programme (degree) administration, fulfilling administrative functions across a range of processes, and providing support to committees such as Student Experience Committee. This post will be primarily assigned to support the Department of Life Sciences, which has programmes in Biosciences, Psychology and Sports, Health and Exercise Sciences. You will be joining us at an exciting time, helping us to embed and operationalise our newly regenerated administrative services aimed at improving the student experience. There are also opportunities to support University events such as graduation.
You will need to demonstrate excellent organisation and digital literacy skills acquired through experience in higher education settings or other commensurate administrative background, and be able to converse with a variety of staff on complex and sometimes sensitive issues. You will bring experience of administrative customer-centred functions including an understanding (and ideally experience) of the operation of databases, process development and the ability to organise your time effectively.
