About the role
Based within the Future Students team in the Academic Planning department, this role will be responsible for taking the lead for specific projects and to ensure efficient and effective admissions processes, with a particular focus on our partnership provision within the UK and internationally. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring high quality student records, monitoring recruitment targets and the quality of applications. As a line manager, the post holder will ensure that team members are tasked and supported as appropriate and ensure that processing targets are met.
The post holder will take the lead in conducting physical and electronic application audits with partners, providing feedback to ensure records and decisions continue to improve. The post holder will work with the Head of Admissions and Applicant Support to create and maintain applicant information and communications.
The post requires the holder to work collaboratively with all parts of the University, and crucially with external partners and applicants. The role will work to agree recruitment targets in advance of each intake and make plans to ensure the infrastructure is in place to ensure targets are met. The role also takes responsibility for assessing current processes and helping to implement new procedures where necessary, including helping to establish academic and English language entry requirements. The post holder will line manage the partnership admissions officers, ensuring members are recruited, trained and supported, so that an efficient and professional services is offered.
They will contribute to all major Academic Planning activities including open days, clearing, registration, assessments and graduation.
The role will work to a hybrid working pattern, mostly working from home, but will be expected to work at Newton Park campus every Wednesday.
