We are recruiting a Cloud Systems Administrator - a domain expert for the NIHR BioResource Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, administering and developing key resource in AWS to facilitate the requirement of NIHR BioResource teams and external stakeholders.
To succeed, you will need to be a domain expert in facilitating infrastructure in AWS, with understanding and experience of subjects e.g. EC2, Lambda serverless, security policies etc.

About the job:
The Cloud Systems Administrator is a new role in the Systems & Infrastructure team, reflecting the increased reliance on cloud technology to support the running of the NIHR BioResource.
You will be responsible for the management of infrastructure that utilise AWS technologies, alongside MS Cloud local and private cloud infrastructure, to enhance the capability and scalability of BioResource IT. You will also be responsible for optimising, planning and implementing services to ensure they are future-proofed and fit for purpose.
You will need to be a domain expert in facilitating infrastructure in AWS, with understanding and experience of subjects e.g. EC2, Lambda serverless, security policies etc.
You will be required to work autonomously, and to take responsibility for the service in the NIHR BioResource. They will implement the appropriate Information Governance and Security requirements with the Infosec team appropriate for a clinical research environment and will ensure all solutions meet the standards required. IT Management will be reliant on you to deliver services appropriately and provide the vigilance required to protect the platform assets.
