Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, customer-orientated professional to join the Business School Admissions Team as an Admissions Manager. You would be responsible for running the admissions process for our suite of MBA programmes. Ultimately, you will help the team reach our goal to admit the best students on our postgraduate degree programmes.
Duties and responsibilities
You will manage the admissions process for our MBA suite of programmes from initial application to student registration. You will develop and deliver effective student selection strategies to ensure that both quantitative and qualitative recruitment targets are met.
You will work with your team of Admissions Officers to provide a high level of customer service while managing a high volume of applications. You will also work with our Candidate Experience Manager on a programme to advise admitted candidates of key information and enhance their interest in the School.
You will strive to meet student number and diversity targets and predict likely cohorts by monitoring key admissions data, such as offer acceptances. You will calculate how many offers to make and use waiting lists to make sure final numbers meet, and do not exceed, target. Your statistical reports and analysis of applicant data will monitor trends, identify issues to address and inform your recommendations while working with stakeholders to resolve issues.
We work collaboratively within Admissions, with colleagues as part of a wider Marketing, Recruitment & Admission Team and with many other teams in the Business School and College as a whole. Therefore, your relationship-building skills will be key to ensuring that partners are involved and informed.
