We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow whose research interests broadly relate to the study of discrimination, causal inference, development economics, computational methods and history of economic thought.

The primary role of the successful candidate will be to work collaboratively on a programme of research directed by the Head of Department. Dr Ragupathy Venkatachalam. Candidates will be able to lead on all aspects of the research process: development, design and execution of studies, management and analysis of data., the presentation of findings (contributing to writing academic articles). Candidates will have experience in applied research, be able to perform advanced quantitative data analysis, have programming skills (related to data analysis), assist in writing papers, grant proposals, and have strong communication skills (written and oral).

You will have a good first degree, a PhD (or evidence of close to completing a PhD thesis) in Economics, Statistics or a closely related discipline on a topic related to Dr Ragupathy Venkatachalam’s research areas. In exceptional cases, a master's degree with relevant research expertise would be considered.
