About the Role
We are looking for an experienced senior project/data manager or database developer with leadership experience to lead our team of clinical trials data management and database development staff in supporting a growing portfolio of clinical trials in important priority areas for the NHS. The role is new, reflecting the expansion of the team, and we expect the post-holder to have significant input to further strategic development of the team, and systems and processes. The job is located within the UKCRC registered Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit.
The focus of the role will be to provide leadership on all data management and database development activities across the lifecycle, including liaison with and advice to study teams, planning, building and supporting new and existing study databases for clinical research, using EDC systems such as OpenClinica and RedCap. It will also involve developing and documenting data management processes, as well as line management and supervision of junior colleagues.
About You
An undergraduate degree or above, with substantial relevant experience in data management or database development is required. Also among the essential requirements are in-depth experience of building and managing study databases with EDC tools, experience of developing and documenting data management processes and SOPs, line management experience, as well as a good understanding of the regulatory framework around data management and information governance.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London, and remote working can be considered. It is full time (35 hours per week) or part time (minimum 3 days per week), fixed term appointment for two years initially, with an expected start date as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range of £50,047 - £55,805 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
