We are looking for a new member of our team to lead on developing and delivering health and safety services, and in particular health and safety training, to support the University in this endeavour.
You will enjoy supporting others to improve health and safety performance. You do not need to have worked in Higher Education before but experience of working in a complex organisation is essential. You will work with colleagues from across the University to identify and deliver health and safety training and development needs. You will have a particular role in providing advice and guidance to our Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Management, and some professional Services departments. We provide a key service to the University in shaping and driving its health, safety and wellbeing culture and ensuring that these activities support the University’s wider strategy and ambitions. We strive to achieve this through robust strategies and policies, strong leadership, sound governance, excellent professional advice, targeted coaching and training and reliable performance monitoring and measurement.
As a Team, we take pride in being friendly, approachable, and professional, taking a pragmatic view of risk to support and facilitate the work the University does. A key aim is to engage and encourage ownership of risk and to share best practice across the University.
This is a new role, and it is going to be pivotal to our efforts to embed and improve core health and safety competences across the organisation. You will work closely with incredible people from all corners of our organisation.
