We are looking for a Administrative Assistant for the MSc/PgDip in Sleep Medicine, hosted by the Sir Jules Thorn Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute (SCNi), in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN), University of Oxford. The SCNi brings together world leading expertise in basic and human sleep and circadian research, and in the evaluation and management of sleep disorders.
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Course Administrator in all aspects of the Sleep Medicine programme and provide administrative assistance to the Experimental and Clinical Sleep Medicine research group. These aspects include supporting with the administration of taught postgraduate examinations, liaising with appropriate departments, and maintaining handbooks, reading lists and the course website. You will also have other duties such as providing general support to students, maintaining links with NDCN teams and supporting the Sleep Medicine team with advertising.
The successful candidate will have a GCSE (grade C/4 or above) in Maths and English or equivalent, knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, interest in an administrative career and good teamwork, communication and organisational skills.
The post is fixed term for 3 years in the first instance (with the possibility of extension).
