In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the University of Sunderland in London (UoSiL) is compliant with Home Office immigration policy and requirements of the Home Office’s Student Route. You will be the point of contract for queries relating to Student Route compliance and will lead on internal audits assessing compliance on all aspects of Home Office policy. As this is a brand-new role, it is an exciting opportunity where you will be able to make your mark and thrive in this vital area of our operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant experience and knowledge of UK Immigration Rules, associated policies, and the application of these within Higher Education. You will have experience in internal auditing and be an experienced user of the Home Office Sponsor Management System (SMS). You will need to have an approach to work with the ability to respond to sudden and unexpected changes in priorities and be a skilled communicator with the ability to inform and advise on detailed and complex information.
