We are seeking a curious and analytical person to join our dynamic team, to conduct philanthropy research and reputational due diligence research in a motivating higher education setting. Finding, evaluating, and communicating information clearly and effectively is the essence of this role.
As part of the University of Oxford Development Office, our work drives the fundraising activities of the University, by providing insights to build relationships with new and existing high-value supporters (individuals, corporations and foundations).
We want to hear from candidates who bring successful experience in a research- or information-focused role (including internships) in a business setting such as consultancy, law, banking, professional services, the civil service, or similar; or with experience of research in a fundraising setting.
As well as excellent research and communication skills, other qualities we are seeking include a commitment to providing a high-quality service; an ability to assess information rapidly and rigorously from a variety of sources; an adaptable and versatile approach; attention to detail; knowledge of current affairs; and the desire to build positive working relationships.
The role sits in a friendly team, experienced in this work, who will provide training.
We support a diverse set of fundraising priorities, on themes ranging from innovative medical and scientific advances, to widening access to our University, to supporting world-class museums.
This is a fixed-term role (maternity cover), for up to 10 months.
Only applications received before 12:00 noon on Wednesday 22 February 2023 can be considered. You will be required to upload a letter of application as part of your online application. Interviews are scheduled to take place on 3 March 2023.
