About the roleWe are seeking an outstanding academic with an excellent track record in research and teaching within the broad field of criminology. We are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate their commitment to both research and teaching, and who will make a substantial contribution to the School’s research profile and research-inspired teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
You will be based within the School of Criminology and will work with colleagues across the School and wider University to build on existing strengths, to identify new opportunities, and to play a key role in the ongoing success of Criminology at Leicester. Taking a pro-active approach to developing research collaborations and submitting grant applications you will attend and organise conferences and seminars that enhance the research profile of the School.
We are open to applications from academics with any area of expertise aligned with Criminology, but we would particularly welcome candidates who can contribute to our BSc Criminology with Forensic Psychology programme to apply.

You will be able to evidence this through external grant capture, publications in peer reviewed journals and other relevant outputs. With a track record of academic leadership, you will have a clear future research plan and a commitment to high quality teaching, ensuring our students get the best experience possible.
