Our Department of Epidemiological Sciences is at the heart of some of our most important work and your skills and expertise will make a real difference to a range of policies and projects.
We are looking for a senior software engineer and team leader with experience of delivery in a scientific domain. Working within the Department of Epidemiological Sciences, you will help develop and maintain important business applications to handle data sets relating to animal disease control in the UK.
You will have experience of overseeing agile delivery approaches and a strong track record of architecting and building of software systems interacting with corporate database solutions. Our projects involve hybrid cloud, both Windows and Linux hosts, and languages such as C# and Python. You will help translate business challenges into deliverable technical goals, manage team resource across a portfolio of projects, and provide support and guidance to a small team. You will be self-motivated, a desire to continuously improve, and enjoy working collaboratively.
