The School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds is a highly ranked department with a commitment to excellence in both research and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to enhance the School’s research and teaching activities and work with colleagues to develop our international profile and standing. Applications are welcome from candidates whose research explores topics related to media regulation. These may include creative industries policy, platform regulation, copyright, open source, online communities, privacy, freedom of expression or other contemporary topics in Internet regulation/law; and with relevance to any of our research strengths in media industries and cultural production, journalism, political communication, global communication, visual media and communication, digital cultures, gender, race and media. We are open to a range of methodological approaches, particularly quantitative/data-intensive methods.
