We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for the identification, development and implementation of new industrial and collaborative Knowledge Exchange (KE) opportunities associated with one of the five research themes listed below. This post will contribute to the delivery of the University’s ambitious new £3.2m Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPSRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) and so further the strategic aims and ambitions of the College of Science and Engineering (CoSE).
The associate will be dedicated to one of the following thematic areas:
Applicants should specify in their covering letter which area they would like to focus on and explain why they are suited to undertaking the Knowledge Exchange Associate role for that theme.
The aim of the role is to deliver high quality impact through the stimulation of knowledge exchange activity by facilitating relationships between the University and external organisations such companies, as well as prospective partners in the public sector, third sector, and government. The focus of the role will comprise of identifying and cultivating new external partners, developing and supporting the delivery of innovative projects, and helping to secure funding for those projects. The role involves developing relationships internally within the university with academic researchers and externally with relevant stakeholders leading to new opportunities to realise impactful outcomes based on EPSRC funded research.
