About the Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Quality Manager to join the Business Intelligence team within the Directorate of Strategic Planning and Performance (SP&P).
In this role you will provide expert advice, guidance, and leadership on Data Quality to ensure data is right first time and every time, achieving compliance with statutory requirements and enabling ARU to deliver better outcomes for our students. You will work with ARU colleagues at all levels and across the sector to drive improved data quality through rigorous and systematic data analysis and testing and proposing and implementing enhancements to systems, business policies and processes, including a framework for effective data governance. It is vital that our data is complete, timely, valid, accurate and fit for all purposes both now and in readiness for planned changes.
With a degree preferably covering data or statistics and appropriate level of experience, you will also have significant experience in identifying and resolving the root cause of data quality issues, using appropriate tools and techniques to extract and interrogate data and designing and delivering long-term sustainable solutions that make a real difference. You will need highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills combined with an understanding of what constitutes high-quality data and how to successfully deliver that working collaboratively with others. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be needed to support and guide teams through complex change and influence colleagues at all levels.
In return, you will have the opportunity to develop your career with an organisation that truly values its people. We are known for being a welcoming employer and recognised as a Disability Confident Employer and Essex Family Friendly Employer for our commitment to workplace inclusivity.
