We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you committed to delivering a high level of customer service and are you passionate about helping students? Do you have experience of working in a busy customer service environment in addition to exceptional communication skills?
The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
Residential Services provides accommodation for around 8,500 University of Leeds students in self-catered and catered sites, both on and off campus. We also provide facilities for meetings and conferences. We are an innovative service with a clear vision to provide some of the country’s best student accommodation.
We are looking for an approachable and customer focussed person to assist in the day to day running and administration of a residential site. You will be the first point of contact for students and visitors, either face to face or through telephone and email.
You will have previous experience of working in a busy frontline customer service role, with the ability to deal with a wide range of people, providing an excellent level of customer service and care. You will have excellent communication skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and the ability to work effectively as part of a team or on your own initiative.
Residence staff are required to provide a flexible service, working as necessary to meet the needs of the business. This is a full time role working 5 days a week over 7, with flexibility, particularly required during peak conference season (normally June to September).
You will be based at Devonshire Hall, but should be prepared to work at any of the other Residential Services’ sites as required.
