Job Summary
Are you an experienced evaluator, looking for a new opportunity to work across a wide range of creative and interactive programmes? Can your reflective, analytical and research skills help us to better understand the impact of our engagement and outreach work? If so, you could join Imperial’s Outreach, Public and Community Engagement teams as our new Evaluation Officer.
Our Outreach and Engagement work is central to Imperial’s mission of achieving excellence in education and research in science, engineering, medicine and business for the benefit of society. The role will begin with a focus in White City, where we engage with diverse audiences from local families, students, youth clubs, older adults and community groups, living and working in the area surrounding our West London campus. The Invention Rooms is a hub for these activities, hosting Saturday Science Clubs for families, schools workshops in the Makerspace, and events for the Agents of Change women’s leadership network.
The Evaluation Officer will work across Schools Outreach, Public and Community Engagement teams, to embed evaluation within our programmes. It is central to helping understand, increase and make visible the outcomes of our work – whether around widening participation in science and university, increasing science capital, enhancing our research and innovation, or establishing community connections and partnerships. This is a fulfilling and valuable role, supporting the development of a culture of evaluation within our engagement teams and colleagues across the college, contributing to strategic reporting and ultimately improving outcomes for all involved in our public activities.
