Job Overview:
University College Birmingham’s highly experienced Disability Support team is looking to expand during an exciting period of growth for the University.
The team requires a Head of Service to lead the Disability Support offer across both Further and Higher Education provision. This will involve not only both day-to-day management, but the delivery of a clear strategic vision to enable the university to enhance its offer to students with SEN/disabilities.
You will have proven leadership experience in this area, with a clear understanding of disability legislation, funding and regulatory bodies, thus ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, in addition to being highly empathetic towards students with SEN/ disabilities, and have a proven track record of providing highly effective support.
