The Precision Healthcare University Research Institute (PHURI) was created as part of the University’s ambitious Strategy 2030 to facilitate collaboration across the university and advance multidisciplinary research and innovation.
The Precision Healthcare Institute will be housed in a brand-new building, the Queen Mary Life Sciences Building, in the heart of Whitechapel. The science intensive building represents the largest single investment in research in the history of Queen Mary University and will provide a state-of-the-art research environment to enable scientific breakthroughs that transform lives both globally and across our richly diverse community in East London.

We are inviting applications from outstanding researchers with an excellent track record in Researching and Managing Electronic Health Records to join PHURI.
Our group has embarked on the mission to translate EHRs from the most ethnical diverse community in the UK into immediate and tailored health benefits for underserved minorities. We develop patient-near machine-learning models to not only predict the onset of disease, but to improve patient management by identifying those at highest risk for recurrent or other events. The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time permanent appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £45,931 with progression into Grade 6, £56,921 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
