Background

This role sits with the Student Marketing and Recruitment Team within the Marketing and External Relations Department. The team are responsible for delivering City, University of London’s undergraduate and postgraduate marketing and recruitment activity. The work of the team includes UK & international marketing, UK student recruitment, international student recruitment, and student recruitment events, including UG and PG on campus and online events.

Responsibilities

The post holder will manage a team of two Events Assistants to plan, organise and deliver all on campus and online recruitment events for undergraduate and postgraduate across the HE recruitment cycle. This will include all Undergraduate Open Days, PG Open Events, UG Applicant Days, UG Taster Days and a Clearing Information Day. The team will also continue to develop our online events offering and support the School Marketing Team in the development of subject specific online events. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring their team provides the customer service function across all digital enquiries functions including email and online platforms.

Person Specification

  • Understanding and knowledge of the UK education system and student recruitment process
  • Experience of planning and organising large scale and significant projects or events from conception through to successful completion and evaluation
  • Knowledge of online events platforms and experience of delivering online events
  • Experience of managing online customer service functions such as email and digital enquiry platforms
  • Good organisation, team and time management skills
