As a world-leading, research-intensive university, with a strong and high-quality educational offering, we are renowned for our innovation and enterprise and are within the top 1% of universities worldwide.
We are looking for an experienced Events Manager to lead and develop the employer events programme at the University of Southampton offered by the newly created Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise division. This role will take responsibility for the design and implementation of employer events, including large scale Careers Fairs, and managing the Events Team to deliver to a high standard.
You will seek and promote opportunities to improve student and recent graduate engagement with employers and external organisations to enable them to gain career insights and secure graduate success. You will generate excitement around the events programme, utilising student and employer feedback and data to inform developments as much as possible. Working closely with other colleagues in Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise, particularly the Employer Engagement Team and the Student Enterprise Team, you will also undertake extensive partnership working with stakeholders at the University and other external stakeholders, suppliers and partners.

You will be a confident, credible, and motivated person with the ability to communicate and inspire others and be an excellent team manager.
You will be highly organised, deliver to deadlines, and manage multiple activities. You will use data to inform approaches and actively seek feedback to enhance practice.
