An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Physiotherapy team within the School of Health and Social Work as a Senior Lecturer.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible for the teaching and assessment of undergraduate, pre-registration and/or postgraduate Physiotherapy students at the University and support them whilst they are on their practice placements. You will utilise the current evidence-base to underpin teaching and learning activities. You may participate in development and reviews of programmes including inter-professional developments across the school.

You will contribute to the administration of the school by undertaking additional roles, such as joining teams involved in admissions, timetabling, placements or programme support. You will also be expected to undertake and contribute to Physiotherapy research where relevant.

Skills and Experience

You will be an experienced practising Physiotherapist with the HCPC with recent academic and/or clinical experience. You will understand the UK system and have a broad experience of relevant Physiotherapy practice ideally in the field of Musculoskeletal and/or Cardiorespiratory and/or Neurology physiotherapy.

Your application will demonstrate a sustained interest and knowledge of contemporary Physiotherapy practice and it is essential that you have good oral and written communication skills and be proficient in the English language.

Qualifications required

For this role you must hold an Honours degree (or equivalent level 6 qualification) in Physiotherapy as well as a Master’s degree (or equivalent level 7 qualification or be able to demonstrate substantial clinical experience) in a relevant subject and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
