The College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Student Programmes Administrative Assistant to join our Taught Programmes Office (TPO), which oversees the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered by the Brunel Business School, Brunel Law School and the Department of Economics and Finance. Our students rely on the TPO as their first point of contact in relation to their academic studies.
Working within the TPO team in an open plan office environment, your main duties will involve:
As you will be the first point of contact on a busy reception desk, you will be expected to stay calm under pressure and to provide a friendly and professional welcome to our students and visitors. Students often have very complex enquiries so it is imperative that they are given the correct information and advice. You will need to have the confidence to reach out to other members of the TPO for their help and support. You will be learning ‘on the job’ and will need to be able to use your initiative to help resolve problems.
You should have experience of working in a team and in a customer service environment.
