Job Summary
We are seeking a Research Assistant to enrol in a 3-year Industrial Doctorate employed at the Imperial Centre for Infrastructure Materials, at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Imperial College London, and co-supervised at the Green Innovation Center at FLSmidth A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark. The post will carry out research as part of the DETOCS (Data Enabling Transformation and Optimization towards Concrete Sustainability) industrial doctoral network.
It is funded by the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks programme. The aim of the DC15 project is to quantify the environmental and economic performance of highly substituted composite Portland cements using use life cycle assessment and technoeconomic analysis. It will support the development of these more ambitious low carbon cements by combining theoretical and modelling results with industrial data and know-how.
Duties and responsibilities
You will act as the main researcher responsible for delivering project DC15 entitled “Environmental and Economic Performance of Low Carbon Cement” within the consortium.
You will be required to complete a PhD degree at Imperial College London in conjunction with your research work.
