Black Thrive exists to change the odds stacked against Black people by embedding race equity in systemic change so that thriving is not the exception but the norm.
Our work covers all life stages – children and young people, working age adults and older adults. Our guiding principle is to center the lived experiences of Black communities in all that we do, and our strategic priorities are to embed race equity in systems change and to decolonise the evidence landscape.
The purpose of this role is to lead on all aspects of research that use quantitative data, and the development, and analysis of race equality metrics for the United Kingdom. The post holder will join the research team and be part of the developing Black Thrive Research Institute and Observatory. The quantitative research fellow will use, develop, and combine, primary and secondary datasets (e.g., understanding society) to understand the trajectories of Black people in Britain. Together with the research lead and others, you will publish these findings in scholarly journals and for a popular audience. The post holder will also contribute to our consulting activities by providing statistical analysis and expertise to our clients and will need to be confident and willing to engage and lead in all parts of the analysis process including data collection/mining, munging, visualising, and robust, statistically sound analysis.
More information on the role, including a full job description and person specification, is attached. Please download this document. Please watch the video to understand our mission.
