This is a fixed term appointment for 1 year.

LSE is a global community of people and ideas in the heart of central London. We’re a specialist social sciences university, ranked third in the world in the QS subject rankings 2022 and as the top university in London in the Complete University Guide 2023.

LSE is embarking on an ambitious programme to transform the digital education experience across the organisation. Digital Education Futures will deliver key elements of the LSE 2030 strategy through new and improved solutions and practices. The Programme will create a digitally rich education environment, encompassing assessment, virtual and physical teaching spaces, staff and student support, new teaching methods, and emerging technologies. This role provides an opportunity to learn more about a growing sector in the technology industry and work with key stakeholders across the organisation.

As Business Change Manager, you will work in parallel with the project/programme team to shape, manage and deliver educational and transformational change for students and staff. You will be responsible for the long-term delivery of change across the programme, in partnership with a wide range of diverse stakeholders across the LSE community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to foster and develop a culture of continuous improvement and high standards, maintaining and projecting a positive and progressive attitude.
  • Have experience of working within multi-functional teams across organisational boundaries, including leading staff through a process of change.
  • Have highly developed communication skills, written and verbal, across a range of media and methods, and adept at tailoring communication style and content to the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with consideration for the project, divisional and organisational context.

LSE is a campus-based university and staff are expected to attend the London campus in fulfilling their role. For this particular role, the postholder will be required to attend campus periodically as and when required.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
