We are seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator for the International Centre for Eye Health. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, coordinating projects which strive to improve eye health worldwide.

You will be responsible for providing proactive financial, logistical and administrative support across a number of research and education projects in collaboration with managers, researchers and educators based in London, with activities at a number of overseas locations.  

You will be a member of the ICEH operations team and be accountable to the ICEH Operations Manager, and a group of Principal Investigators within ICEH. Specifically, you would lead on setting up two new research grants related to Child Eye Health and will support the management of other eye health related projects funded by several charitable foundations (Wellcome Trust, Vision Catalyst Fund, Velux Stiftung, CIFF and others). The post-holder will also be required to support on various funding applications and the financial management of education and training grants. 

The successful applicant must be educated to degree level or equivalent and have substantial relevant experience of providing proactive administrative support in Higher Education (or similar environment) and working closely with academic staff members have strong administrative, financial and organisational skills, and an ability to assess priorities in order to manage workload and deadlines effectively. The post is fixed term for 6 months and part-time 0.5-0.6 FTE. There may be opportunity to extend and increase the FTE after this if further funding is secured. 

The salary will be on the Professional Services Grade 5 salary scale in the range £38,282- £43,947 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days.” Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
