The Talent 25 Research Programme:

Talent 25 is a long-term action research programme and a partnership between Arts Council England and De Montfort University. Its vision is to explore the vital points of intervention in a child's life, which ensures that all individuals have a wide range of cultural experiences and opportunities to unearth their creative talent. The project is to commence its next phase of activities in April 2024, and we are looking for a motivated, engaging and outgoing individual committed to coordinating the engagement and participation of the Talent 25 children and their families in creative and cultural activities.

Role

The primary purpose of this role is to encourage active participation and engagement of children and families in the Talent 25 programme and, with the programme team, enhance opportunities to embed creative and cultural activities as part of their everyday lives. Working closely with the Talent 25 team, the post holder will also liaise and encourage Talent 25 families' engagement with the programme to better understand what works to widen children and families' opportunities to develop creatively and participate in arts and cultural activities as part of everyday life.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an individual with experience in community engagement and an understanding and knowledge of creative/cultural activities. We are especially interested in candidates with experience working with a diverse range of children and their families to encourage their engagement in cultural and research activities. Suitable candidates will have knowledge of community outreach and engagement techniques, such as asset-based community engagement principles, to coordinate and negotiate positive outcomes. Moreover, the candidate will be people-focused, innovative, and versatile in their approach, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships with research participants, the Talent 25 team, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will require a satisfactory DBS check.
