About the role

We have recently introduced the HR Business Partner model and we are now looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with our academic and related colleagues including the senior tutor and college teaching officers, the wellbeing team, library team and the tutorial and admissions teams.

This role is offered on a part-time or full-time basis. Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will be based on-site. The main purpose of this role is to work closely with Senior Managers and Heads of Department to provide advice and support at every stage of the employment life cycle including recruitment, training, change management initiatives and employee relations.  In addition, the role will support and coach managers on absence and performance management and ways to motivate their employees and lead more effectively.

You will also support the HR team in all areas of generalist HR activities as required.

About you

You will have HR Manager/HRBP experience, or extensive Senior HR Advisory experience ideally in the Higher Education sector, and have a thorough understanding of employment law, general HR policies and extensive experience in leading on complex employee relations issues and change management initiatives.

You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent, and a Chartered Member of the CIPD (MCIPD qualified or equivalent relevant experience).

What do we offer

We offer 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 after 5 years’ continuous employment, plus bank holidays.  We will automatically enrol you into a pension scheme with generous employer contribution of 17.9%.  We offer free parking, subsided access to our onsite gym, a free meal whilst on duty, free eye tests and discounts via our benefits platform.  We also offer an EAP.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 7 April 2024.

Interviews are expected to take place in the week commencing 15 April 2024.
