We are seeking to appoint an experienced administrator to manage the day-to-day running of the Department of Public Health, Environments and Society (PHES) in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy. Reporting to the Faculty Operating Officer and accountable to the Head of Department, the Department Manager oversees the Department’s staffing, finances, research projects, and other resources.
The post-holder will line manage the team of professional services staff in PHES and maintain close oversight of the administration needs of the Department, working closely with the Head of Department to ensure an excellent service is provided to support all staff and research projects.
Higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience is an essential requirement for this role. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent. The post is available from mid-September.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £43,947 - £49,908 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
