We are looking to recruit a Lead Health & Safety Adviser to provide comprehensive health and safety advice, training, instruction and information across the University. This will include:
Our new approach to Health and Safety management and our ambitious plans for the future, make this an exciting time to join the University's Health & Safety Department. We are seeking a candidate with a proven ability to influence and succeed within a complex environment.
Experience of working in the field of chemical / biological safety is essential as is experience of responsibility for Health & Safety compliance. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and manage your workload to meet deadlines.
Educated to degree level in a scientific subject coupled with a minimum of a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and Chartered Membership of IOSH, the successful applicant will also have a good working knowledge and application of Health & Safety legislation.
