The Faculty is part of the School of the Built Environment, Engineering and Mathematical and Physical Sciences (BEAMS). This role is part of the Faculty Operations team, delivering strategic Operations for The Bartlett faculty and all departments.
About the Role
The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in general and specific duties to progress the work of the Faculty Office, and the Faculty. They will line manage staff within the Faculty Office operations team, be responsible for faculty level administration, ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose, and that UCL, Faculty and Departmental policies and strategies are fully implemented at all times. The Operations Manager is expected to attain an understanding in Safety and Facilities, HR policy and processes and finance with competence using dedicated systems to support the operations of the Faculty Office and the wider Faculty. This post is part time (0.6 FTE – equivalent of 3 days working a week, stated salary to be pro-rata). This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.
About You
This post holder would be a highly organised individual, with a professional attitude, committed to leading a team and adapting their management skills as appropriate. The post holder would have experience in implementing new procedures, operationalising strategic documents, with strong attention to detail, whilst under pressure and be flexible in their approach. The post holder will have experience of Health and Safety, HR and Finance and an understanding of project management.
