We are looking for a talented and pro-active person who can contribute to the work of the Faculty International team. You will play a key role in faculty-based international conversion and administrative support.
You will work closely with the Faculty International Project Officer to provide a customer focused support to the Faculty’s Associate Dean International (ADI) and Schools’ International Leads in delivering the Faculty’s International strategy. The role demands an ability to communicate effectively and confidently across cultures and with a diverse range of stakeholders both within the University (academic Schools, professional services), and externally with prospective applicants and their influencers, school and institutional partners and agent representatives.
The work will include a range of essential administration tasks including organising and supporting committees, meetings, visits and events, coordinating calendars, paperwork, facilities and associated arrangements, including minute taking. You will have experience of data collection and information retrieval, as well as working with online platforms to help the coordination and delivery of virtual conversion events. You will be able to work independently and also to be confident collaborating with others. The role would ideally suit someone with a background in, or who has an interest in the international domain within a Higher Education context.
The role is based on the main University of Plymouth campus and we can offer flexible working arrangements to enable an enhanced work/life balance. In addition, we offer continued development within the role and across the Faculty to support you and the whole professional service team to deliver excellence and continuous improvement across our service.
When completing your application please clearly detail how you meet the criteria of the role (outlined in the Knowledge, Education & Training, Experience and Skills sections of the Job Description). You will also need to provide examples from previous experience that demonstrate how these criteria are met.
For an informal discussion please contact Bethany Hodnett before 22nd August (bethany.hodnett@plymouth.ac.uk)
Interviews are likely to take place w/c 16th September 2024.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 29.6 hours per week (0.8 FTE).
