The School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures are looking for an Early Career Teaching & Research Fellow in Korean Studies to join our Asian Studies department.
The Opportunity:
As part of the Scottish Centre for Korean Studies, this fixed term full-time appointment would be ideal for a PhD graduate or early career researcher within four years of the award of your PhD, to support new fields of research on contemporary Korea and contribute to the curriculum in Korean Studies.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching during semester time and will be given the opportunity to focus on developing their research during non-teaching weeks. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work is interdisciplinary, with qualifications and training in the social sciences and connects Korea to broader East Asian and global issues.
We welcome applications for this post from all qualified candidates and particularly welcome applications from members of minority ethnic groups, who are currently under-represented in the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures. Informal inquiries may be directed to LLC.Recruitment@ed.ac.uk.
Please note that while the School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures operates with a hybrid working model, all teaching is delivered in person and on campus.
