Part time (0.5FTE), Fixed term for 1 year
This role is part time (0.5FTE) for a fixed term of 1 year, with the possibility of extending for a further 6 to 12 months subject to performance.
At Leeds Business School, we are committed to continual professional development and a collegiate culture which enriches both staff and student experience. We place a strong emphasis on social mobility and widening participation and we have been offering degree apprenticeships since 2017. As part of our Apprenticeships Development Plan we are looking to grow our apprentice numbers and expand our provision.
We are seeking a part-time (0.5) Business Development Manager on a 1 year fixed-term contract initially (with the potential to extend by a further 6 to 12 months subject to performance). Working with the School Head of Apprenticeships who leads the School’s strategy for apprenticeships growth, the post holder will proactively engage with existing employer partners to encourage repeat business as well as initiating and developing new employer partnership opportunities across the School’s Apprenticeships portfolio. Ensuring consistent, ongoing application numbers to achieve minimum cohort targets.
The postholder will play a key role in the school’s relationships with external stakeholders, including local, regional and national employers, and build the reputation of the university as a leading provider of apprenticeships in the region, and ensure that we are recognised as an Anchor Institution.
You will ensure that the employer experience is positive and consistent across our Apprenticeship programmes and that their ongoing feedback drives continuous improvement.
Whilst the primary focus of this role will be on Degree Apprenticeships it might also include other aspects of Business Development such as Executive Programmes, ILM Programmes and Consultancy Projects.
