Lakeside is the University of Nottingham's public arts centre with a year-round programme of exhibitions, live performances, workshops, talks and lectures open to everyone, including University staff, students and members of the public.
Whilst Lakeside has an increasingly diverse programme, we need to work harder to ensure that our audiences and our team are more reflective of the artists we engage and the community we want to serve. Lakeside reflects the University’s values of Ambition, Openness, Inclusivity, Fairness and Respect and we welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs which are fundamental to our values and enrich everyone’s lives. We particularly welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are currently under-represented in the creative sectors.
Based in the beautiful surroundings of Highfields and University Park, Lakeside has two popular cafes and a shop including crafts by local and national makers.
We are seeking a passionate, friendly and dedicated individual to join our busy and dynamic Box Office team to help ensure the efficient running of Lakeside’s diverse programme. Managed by Lakeside’s Box Office Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with a broad range of colleagues to deliver effective and professional customer care and sales; processing payments and refunds; deal appropriately with incoming enquiries and feedback; updating and administering our Box Office and CRM system; ensuring high quality and safe event and facilities management at all times; and providing administrative support for customer-facing operations across Lakeside.
Along with a passion for delivering the highest standards of customer care, you will have strong administrative skills and experience of using a CRM or Box Office system. To help deliver our varied and exciting programme, you will have good interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships with our diverse team at all levels. In addition, you will be comfortable working under your own initiative and be able to provide creative solutions that help drive customer service and Lakeside operations.
There are two posts available.
Post 1 - This post is offered on a permanent, part time (22 hours per week) contract.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Ian Perry, tel: 0115 846 7378 or email IAN.PERRY@NOTTINGHAM.AC.UK. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
