About the Role
The University of Oxford is seeking an excellent Senior Digital Education Consultant to join the friendly Digital Education Team in the Centre for Teaching and Learning. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues in academic departments/faculties and across the University to design, plan, support and evaluate digital education initiatives. This position is key to enhancing the digital education experience for all students and staff, in line with the University's Digital Education Strategy and broader Strategic Plan.
In the role, you will work closely with the Head of Digital Education, providing research-informed advice to implement the Digital Education Strategy. You will lead consultancy efforts that support digital education and assessment across the University. Your role will also involve identifying areas for development, scoping and leading projects, and ensuring that digital education-focused communities and evaluation channels are effective in understanding and addressing the priorities of our users. You will also represent the Centre on relevant University committees, taking responsibility for specific aspects of digital education provision, such as evaluating the student experience and digital assessment.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will possess significant experience in digital education within higher education. You should have a proactive and collegial approach to teamwork, with strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders in the University and beyond.
You should have experience leading consultancy that delivers enhancements to digital education and the student experience and be able to provide evidence of a research-informed approach to designing, delivering, and evaluating inclusive digital education initiatives and materials. Furthermore, you should be capable of writing a wide range of complex materials for different audiences, such as guidance, committee papers, reports, and materials for online learning.
Practical experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating professional development opportunities for staff to develop their digital capabilities and learning designs is necessary.
Finally, you should demonstrate experience of leading the work of others, both as a direct line manager and indirectly as you work with partners across the institution to effect change.
