About the Role
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work on a range of studies to adapt and evaluate social prescribing pathways for people experiencing severe mental illnesses (SMI) and risk factors for cardiovascular disease. The project will involve 1) conducting a systematic review of the literature and qualitative analysis of interviews with a range of stakeholders to identify barriers and solutions to accessing social prescribing among this population 2) co-producing an adapted social prescribing pathway with a lived experience advisory panel and 3) setting up and delivering a small feasibility study to determine the acceptability and uptake of the adapted social prescribing pathway for people with SMI.
About You
The successful candidate will have a PhD (or be close to completion*) in a related field. They will have a background in designing and running mixed-methods studies within applied health or care research, preferably in psychiatry, primary care mental health or psychology. They will have experience in conducting systematic reviews, working with PPI representatives across the research lifecycle and of managing, collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
