Full-time (Applications for part-time at 0.5 FTE will also be considered)
We are seeking to appoint to the role of Lecturer to work in the School of Human and Health Sciences supporting all aspects of academic work for our programmes in sport and exercise science and physical education and coaching. This will include teaching undergraduate students and contributing to research activities. A specific interest and expertise in strength and conditioning, physiology, or biomechanics is central to this role.
The Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise has an excellent portfolio of education and research, and we want to appoint individuals to help us achieve our ambitious plans. With a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, you will have the ability to contribute to the research of the Division. Contracts above 0.5 FTE will also be required to register for doctoral study. Experience of applied work (e.g., coaching, instructing, sport science support) in addition to relevant teaching experience in Higher Education is also necessary.
You will be highly motivated and be able to undertake student-centred teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure a positive student experience. The successful candidate will not only make the most of opportunities provided by our School but also help to develop new opportunities in research and teaching.
