The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) is a School of King's College London and the largest academic community in Europe devoted to the study and prevention of mental illness and brain disease. The research role is based in the Psychology Department, one of the world’s largest academic groupings of clinical and health psychologists. About the role:
We have exciting positions for two research assistants to work on several projects that highlight the involvement of people with lived experience and to support the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) advisory groups. Projects require both qualitative and quantitative skills and are varied. For example, ongoing projects include, how service users can influence projects, the effects of digital therapies and how data are shared. The postholders will also support service users research advisory groups within the Patient and Carer Involvement Theme of the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (maudsleybrc.nihr.ac.uk). The work is varied and will require some flexibility in time allocation and in type of research. Individuals with first-hand experience of using mental health services are encouraged to apply.
These are full time posts (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Research staff at King’s are entitled to at least 10 days per year (pro-rata) for professional development.
