About the Role
The School of Business and Management (SBM) at Queen Mary University of London invites applications from experienced and exceptional educators for appointments at the rank of Senior Lecturer in Accounting (Teaching and Professional Practice), to act as a Deputy Programme Director for our flagship undergraduate programme in accounting – the Flying Start (FS). FS is a partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
About You
The successful candidate must have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience, together with a clear reputation for educational excellence. The appointee will contribute to leadership of the FS programme, supporting the development of colleagues and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. They will also be instrumental in leveraging an extensive professional network to benefit students and colleagues alike, both in the UK and internationally. Through their professional practice, they will enhance the reputation of Queen Mary and our partner organisations, ensuring the continued success and evolution of this flagship programme.
About the School
The School offers students and staff the opportunity to be part of a socially-responsible business and management school, engaged with its local community through its students, and offering an innovative, multidisciplinary and values-led approach. We invite our students to ask incisive questions, to challenge their assumptions, and to search for solutions to real-world challenges.
We take pride in our multi-disciplinary approach that promises students an inspiring educational experience. Our engaging educational pathways and supportive staff teach students to think beyond textbooks, management fads and overly simplistic formulas for success.
