In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end management of hospitality events across our campuses—from initial enquiry to flawless delivery—while inspiring a team of administrators and delivery staff to exceed expectations at every touchpoint.

Make a difference

  • Lead and inspire the Events Admin and Delivery teams, fostering a customer-focused, high-performance culture.
  • Take full ownership of event lifecycles, including planning, proposals, logistics, execution, and post-event review.
  • Drive innovation by researching trends, developing new service ideas, and improving operational processes.
  • Promote UWE Hospitality across internal and external channels, strengthening our brand through consistent and high-quality event delivery.
  • Oversee financial and systems operations for events, supporting accurate budgeting, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure collaborative, cross-departmental success.
  • Track event data, client feedback, and sales performance to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, licensing, and food safety regulations, acting as a Designated Premises Supervisor and licence holder where required.

You'll thrive if you have:

  • A passion for the events industry and proven experience managing events from concept to delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage workloads, and drive professional development.
  • Expertise in operational planning and customer engagement, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Confidence in financial and IT systems, including managing P&Ls.
  • Experience using data and business intelligence to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • A thorough understanding of health & safety and licensing compliance within the hospitality and events sector.

Where is this role based?

This post is mostly based at our lively Frenchay campus, where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed; however, we run events on all our campuses, so you will occasionally be involved in travelling to other campuses. We have Glenside Campus, which is set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles north east of Bristol City Centre and our City Campus in Bristol city centre, which comprises Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island and Watershed and is home to UWE Bristol's creative and cultural subjects.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week.  This post is not available on a job share basis.
