We are looking for an experienced academic to lead the development and delivery of a new fully online MA in Creative Leadership at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
This new course builds on Central Saint Martins’ renowned reputation for shaping visionary creative leaders across the fields of arts, culture, design, fashion, architecture, and business. Designed for both emerging and established leaders, it places creativity at the heart of contemporary leadership practice. Drawing on the proven methodologies of creative education and practice, the course empowers students to develop the agility, innovation, and entrepreneurial mindset of creative practitioners to lead with purpose and impact in any sector. It champions ethical, forward-thinking leadership.
You will join the S-School's Creative Enterprise Programme at CSM and will work in collaboration with UAL Online, bringing your experience to develop a creative and future facing curriculum and learning experience for a new global audience of learners. You will manage the course academic staff, lead teaching and assessment, and will collaborate with UAL Online and college colleagues to support the development, launch and growth of the course.
About you
You’ll be an educator and practitioner who operates at the intersection of creativity, leadership management, and education. You’ll bring a vision for the course, its purpose and unique position within the college portfolio and the landscape of leadership education.
You will have the expert knowledge of global leadership, business and management models (i.e. change management, organisational development and psychology, etc) and theory needed to oversee the development of this core curriculum. You will also bring your professional leadership experience and examples of your own, and others’ creative, innovative leadership in real world contexts.
You will bring professional experience in or alongside the creative industries, and a strong knowledge of and curiosity for creative methods and practices. You’ll combine leadership expertise rooted in business with the ability to apply creative approaches to drive transformative, ethical, leadership.
As an educator you’ll have a proven track record in leading accredited postgraduate learning, demonstrating excellent collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to support and inspire a growing course team through collaborative hybrid working. You’ll be committed to embedding diverse perspectives and industry voices into the curriculum, and to supporting a globally distributed cohort as they develop their own distinctive creative leadership identities.
You don’t need extensive experience of online teaching and learning, but you do need to be open to the advantages of flexible fully online delivery to widen access to Higher Education.
