About Us

Our commitment to excellence extends to our CPD programmes and our collaborative, inclusive working culture.

The Role

As Workforce Data & Analytics Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of our people data strategy. Working closely with HR, IT, and key stakeholders, you’ll manage data processes, categorisation, and quality, and shape our HR analytics roadmap to support strategic workforce planning and decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing a suite of Power BI dashboards to present workforce data in a clear, consistent format aligned with our organisational structure.
  • Leading on a range of data management projects and processes to ensure data is accurate, maintained, and categorised for the most effective use.
  • Developing high quality and integrated insights across the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, retention, a range of demographics, reward, development and engagement.
  • Working closely with leaders to design and implement new reports and analytics to university-wide decision-making.

About You

You are an analytics specialist who thrives on turning complex datasets into meaningful insights. You’re confident working with large, varied data sources, skilled at communicating technical information to non-technical audiences, and have a passion for helping organisations make great decisions about their people and performance.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in data extraction, analysis, and interpretation from diverse sources.
  • Expertise in creating MI dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
  • A demonstrable enthusiasm, curiosity and ability to tell stories with data.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and processes.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality requirements.
  • A degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and familiarity with MHR iTrent and Stonefish platforms is highly desirable.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and highly attractive pension scheme.
  • 30 days annual leave, plus up to 4 concessionary days, and 8 bank holidays.
  • Family-friendly policies including adoption, maternity, and paternity leave.
  • On-site café and restaurant.
  • Free membership to our state-of-the-art Fitness and Wellbeing Centre (gym, climbing wall, yoga, Pilates, and more).
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Free mini-bus service to and from Potters Bar station and Hawkshead Campus.
